Google Earth is a computer program that renders a 3D representation of Earth based primarily on satellite imagery. The program maps the Earth by superimposing satellite images, aerial photography, and GIS data onto a 3D globe, allowing users to see cities and landscapes from various angles. Users can explore the globe by entering addresses and coordinates, or by using a keyboard or mouse. The program can also be downloaded on a smartphone or tablet, using a touch screen or stylus to navigate. Users may use the program to add their own data using Keyhole Markup Language and upload them through various sources, such as forums or blogs. Google Earth is able to show various kinds of images overlaid on the surface of the earth and is also a Web Map Service client. In 2019, Google has revealed that Google Earth now covers more than 97 percent of the world, and has captured 10 million miles of Street View imagery.[7]
I have google earth 7.1.1. with buildings in 3d on my samsung note android phone. I downloaded GE 7.1.1. for macs to my mac BUT when I zoom in to see downtown Houston for example the buildings are not...
Devastated to say that my relatively new MacBook Pro with Touch Bar has a cracked display/LCD at the bottom on the screen. I'm not particularly rough with my MacBook and presumably this occurred due to closing the screen with something between the keys and the screen. I recall the moment the crack appeared, so this would have been a dust speck. Although I have AppleCare, the cost of repair is $680, since this is "accidental damage" and "out of warranty"
I've also just discovered a small crack at the bottom of my screen where it says "MacBook Pro". I am very careful with the computer and definitely did not have anything in between that would cause it to crack. This seems to me to be a defect...
I had the same issue last week. I had the screen replace and within one week it happened again. Apple store denies any issues but as you can see it is not an isolated incident. I didn't take a picture the first time, although Apple has pictures. Last week I had the screen fixed due to a crack on the left side, where the sharp edge comes in contact with the bottom strip and five days later it happened on the right. Extremely frustrating, time consuming and costly. Shame on you Apple for not standing behind your product. I will never purchase Apple products again.
Ughh!!! So angry at Apple! This is my very first Apple Computer. I bought a new (at the time) Macbook Pro 15 inch, 16GB RAM, 1GB SSD, 4GB video memory and all the latest specs on my first laptop. I paid about $3500 for this laptop. I bought it in January of 2017, December 2017 (so, almost one year) I noticed a crack on the bottom right of my screen I have no idea where it came from but assumed it was my fault.
There are threads on both Apple Support Communities and Reddit, with users either reporting that screen cracks occurred when they opened or closed the lid, or that they were simply present next time they came to use the machine.
Google Earth is a computer program, formerly known as Keyhole Earth Viewer, that renders a 3D representation of Earth-based primarily on satellite imagery. Users can explore the globe by entering addresses and coordinates, or by using a keyboard or mouse. The phone landed nearly parallel to the ground, but its bottom-right corner touched pavement first, causing the top left corner to slap violently onto the hard surface. As a result, the glass shattered in more than three spots and left hairline cracks running across the top third of the screen down to the bottom right corner.
I am a full-service repair shop, specializing in component-level repair. This means we offer services that most shops will not offer because of the difficulty level. A lot of Apple repair shops will repair computers by replacing entire assemblies. For example, if you have a cracked LCD panel and your MacBook but your glass and aluminum lid are fine, a lot of shops will replace the entire top screen assembly (lid, glass, isight camera, LCD, LVDS cable, hinges, etc) rather than just replacing the bad LCD panel. We work hard to replace just the broken components, making our services noticeably less expensive than most shops.
I got into the screen repair business when the White and Black MacBook were first released. Back in 2006, Apple came out with the design featuring white and black MacBooks. There were not a lot of shops that were offering LCD replacement on the MacBook computers for less than $350. We started offering the repair at $180 with our unparalleled 24-hour turnaround. Now there are a lot of shops offering repair services for cracked glass and broken LCDs on the MacBooks, but we continue to be one of the best quality repair shops in the nation. Over the years of offering this repair, we have found the best sources for replacement LCDs, honed our techniques of removing the glass (when necessary) without causing damage to the rubber trim that surrounds the glass, and found the best adhesive for installing the new components. We know it is important for you to get your computer back ASAP. For that reason, we offer a 24-hour turnaround on our repairs. We will have the computer repaired and shipped back to you/ready for pick up within 1 day of receiving your MacBook for repair.
Staples is another option for iPhone repairs. Even amidst the coronavirus quarantine, select stores are still fixing iPhones. You can drop your phone off at a store and repairs are typically done within a few hours. Staples can replace the battery, fix cracked screens, and attempt to recover devices affected by water. 2ff7e9595c
